Emily Evans

Emily Evans is currently in her advanced year of the Master of Social Work program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Anderson University in 2003. She has 20 years of experience working with adults and children living with disabilities and navigating the intersection of healthcare and an individuals’ personal environment. Emily has worked in a variety of settings from government health and human services, to health care and nonprofits. It was through these experiences that Emily developed a passion for holistic care, promoting physical, mental, and social wellness in a collaborative way as part of a multidisciplinary approach. She has devoted much of her career thus far to working with older adults, specializing in dementia, Parkinson’s disease, chronic pain, caregiving, and aging in place. She is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and volunteer educator with Centralina Area Agency on Aging. She looks forward to expanding her experience working with youth and children this year at P.A.T. Kids. After graduating, Emily hopes to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing behavioral health interventions in a rural primary care setting with individuals across the age spectrum.
