Erin Bonsall is a final-year student of the 3-year Master of Social Work program and an IBH scholar at UNC Charlotte. Erin is also a member of the Phi Alpha National Social Work Honor Society, Nu Theta Chapter at the University. Erin credits her Master’s in Teaching certification in play therapy and social work training with enhancing her ability to work with families and children. She believes the best way to support a child is by supporting the caregivers. Her passion is to engage in hospital work providing seriously ill children and their families compassionate support as they navigate therapeutic options and the emotional and psychological challenges of their health experience. Erin is currently interning at the Levine Children’s Hospital,  Pediatric Palliative Care. After graduation, Erin plans to pursue a License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) and continue delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that promotes the emotional and psychological health of vulnerable populations.
