Gabby Gil, MSW

Gabby earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Appalachian State University. At ASU, she served as a research assistant to identify methods that best support and contribute to the academic successes of first-generation Latinx students in North Carolina. She also traveled to the Paso del Norte region with faculty to help create a service-learning opportunity for other ASU students to learn about current immigration issues and provide direct assistance to agencies and people in the El Paso/Ciudad Juárez area. Gabby is interested in medical social work and working with the Latinx immigrant community. She is passionate about addressing and reducing the health disparities and inequities experienced by underserved populations.
