Octavia Burch

Octavia is in enrolled in the advanced standing program at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte pursuing her Master of Social Work degree. She also earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte graduating Summa cum laude. Octavia’s focus is Macro practice. Her interests include social change and working with families and adolescents. Octavia has previously interned with Junior Achievement Central Carolinas a nonprofit that focuses on education and empowering the youth. She will be interning with Atrium Urology as a member of the clinical team focusing on service provision in the community. Octavia has served as President of Advocates for Change and fellow of the Charlotte Racial Justice Consortium during her undergraduate studies. Octavia remains active on campus as a member of several student organizations and in the community.
