Suzanne Jones graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with her Bachelor of Social Work in May 2021. Ms. Jones is currently attending UNC Charlotte to obtain her Master of Social Work in their advanced standing program. Ms. Jones is a graduate assistant to Dr. Sonyia Richardson and enjoys research in her spare time. In addition, Ms. Jones has worked with Dr. Suzanne Boyd as a research scholar focusing on increasing knowledge about Multiple Sclerosis and creating a resource guide. Recently she presented with Dr. Boyd at the 2021 Family Focused Treatment Association Conference on the Impact of Social Determinants of Health on Children and Youth During COVID-19. Ms. Jones is from a small town in North Carolina and understands the barriers that prevent healthcare access. Her areas of interest are child welfare, food insecurities in school-aged children, and accessible mental healthcare/continuation of telehealth post-pandemic.
