Amy Hickman

Amy Hickman earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work with minors in Psychology and Spanish from Liberty University in May of 2022. She is currently enrolled in the Advanced Standing Program at UNC Charlotte. She has social work experience as an intern at a group home in Virginia, a school in the Dominican Republic, and an orphanage in Ecuador. In between her BSSW and MSW, she ran an after-school care program for at risk youth in Delaware. Amy is excited to work in a new setting as an IBH intern at Atrium Health Primary Care Davidson Clinic. After graduation in May 2024, Amy is interested in continuing her work with the Hispanic population, particularly addressing the issue of health disparities among this population in Charlotte.
