Ashanti Leak

Ashanti Leak is a 1-year Advanced Standing student in the Master of Social Work program and an IBH scholar at UNC Charlotte. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work from North Carolina A&T State University in 2024. Ashanti’s area of interest is pediatric social work and working with pregnant women. She has experience being a mentor for elementary students, and a behavioral health intern at Triad Adult & Pediatric Medicine where she worked with all age groups. Ashanti is currently interning at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in the senior behavioral medicine unit. She aspires to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and focus on pediatrics or pregnant women.
