Karinaelizabeth Calimee is a 1-year Advanced Standing Master of Social Work program student and an IBH Scholar at UNC Charlotte. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Johnson C. Smith University in 2024. She is passionate about providing comprehensive care and support to those facing mental health, substance abuse, and homelessness challenges. Karinaelizabeth’s interests outside of work and study include spending time with her dog and cooking. She brings valuable experience from her work in community outreach and behavioral health settings. Karinaelizabeth is currently interning at the Stratford Richardson YMCA, actively engaging with diverse populations, providing support, and advocating for those in need. Upon graduating, she plans to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and looks forward to working with populations facing homelessness, substance abuse, and mental health challenges, utilizing her skills and experience to make a positive impact in their lives.
