Sarah Caron is a 3rd-year Master of Social Work student at UNC Charlotte. She is a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society and an Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Scholar. In her previous career, Sarah was a strategic integrated marketing and communications professional with extensive experience in brand development and community relations. Sarah’s experience building community partnerships and her passion for social justice led her to the Master of Social Work program at UNC Charlotte. This past year, Sarah worked at Hope Community Clinic of East Charlotte. As a behavioral healthcare intern, she provided trauma-informed behavioral healthcare and case management to Charlotte’s vulnerable populations, including the immigrant and refugee community. Sarah will return to Hope Community Clinic this year to serve as an Integrated Behavioral Health intern, working closely with the healthcare team. Upon graduation, Sarah plans to pursue licensure while continuing to provide trauma-informed and integrated clinical care to underserved populations. As an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) trained clinician, Sarah will also pursue her EMDR certification.
